Lenços dos Namorados

Hi, today the topic is "Lenços dos Namorados" an old tradition from the north of Portugal. The story goes that when a young lady really liked a man, she'd embroider one of these pieces of cloth (linen) as a scarf and write some interesting lines on it, indicating her deep feelings. She would then make sure that the right guy got it. If he accepted the love, he'd wear it on top of his sunday clothing... then she would know that he really wanted her...

Enchanted smiles, after all the great work presented this year!

After 12 months, November is here again. As in previous years, the Embroidery Exposition is

held this month, exhibiting the work created over the last year.

The show was held at a new location this year, moving away from the Museum. It is with the utmost pleasure that I present you some of the highlights from the first day of the exhibition. I trust that you enjoy our work, and leave us some comments.
